Q:  What information do I need before clicking on the form site?

A:  Other than your usual information, it would be helpful if you knew the amount you were going to        
      donate. A quick check of your last years' Georgia Income Form would provide a guideline for that  information.

Q.  Why does State of Georgia recommend to NOT mail our contribution after November 1st?

A.  Since the State of Georgia has 30 days to approve, amend or reject your request, then if they utilize a  large portion of those days, then it is possible your form and your contribution will not reach us before January 1 of the next year. Golden Dome WILL expidite ALL donations we receive during the month of December to insure to the best of our ability that your check will clear your bank before December 31th.

Q.  What if I contribute MORE than I am allowed on my Georgia Income Tax, Do I get credit?

A.  YES...all money above your approved Georgia income tax Liability on your TP1 form may be Carried forward as a credit on your next years GEORGIA income tax. We are a 501 C 3 organization which is recognized by the Internal Revenue as a Charitable organization. PLEASE check with your tax preparer to determine the availability of your contribution being BOTH a FEDERAL AND STATE deduction.

Q. Normally how long does it take for me to receive my receipt from Golden Dome?

A. Normally, since we are 100% computerized, you should have your receipt back within 5 days if there is no delays (holidays, etc) in the Postal service.

Q.  Will you work with any school?

A.  Yes.. we will partner with any school that mail us a completed agreement form. (see next question) 

Q.  Will you refuse to work with any school?

A.  YES...if any school violates the rules and regulations of EITHER the FEDERAL law pertaining to 501 C 3 organizations or the stae law HB 325 or HB1133 with the guidelines as issued by either the Georgia Department of Revenue or the Georgia Department of Education.

Q.  Can I obtain a copy of the Georgia Department of Revenue regulations as they pertain to HB 1133?

Q. I understand that HB 325 in 2011 passed and there are changes to the program. What are they?

A.  Governor Deal signed HB 325  in May, 2011 into law. 

Q.  How long do I have from the time I receive my Approval letter from the State of Georgia before I have to mail my contribution to an SSO?

A.  You now have 60 days from date of approval to date the SSO must receive your contribution.
